I love this one! The action in it, the "on-point" facial expression and twist of the body, is just amazing. Especially the way the pen and ink application just caresses the form. Of course they are all masterful works of art, and of love for our animal friends.
I am amazed at this so-professional blog-site, and at the accomplished and appealing artworks here. What a body of work! So, Maine is the home state of all this prodigious creativity. And Rumi has a playmate, how dear. The drawing celebrating the two of them is joyful and excellent, too. Just between us, I'm scared of coyotes, thank you very much. Not to mention wolves, but I read a terrible thing the other day--that some sort of massive wolf hunt, open to hunters as young as age 10, was being protested for its presence in a national park. So if that's "population control" one might wonder which population more desperately needs controlling. HOwever, I only say that because of your commitment to animals; my current dog is my first own dog ever, and is teaching me a great deal about all animals, to my wonder and yes, to a great deal of labor and vet expense on her behalf. I have a friend who is a wonderful gardener, and I have to confess that I have a hard time even thinking of getting my hands into dirt in this tiny apartment. Or ever, for that matter. Blondie, my dog, helps me get over that; but she obeys all my reactions, so stays pretty much out of the dirt. If allowed, her muzzle would be black all the way up to her happy brown eyes.
