DIAA Show

I have been a member of the Deer Isle Artists Association since last fall when I showed three woodcuts in its "Noah's Ark Revisited" group show. This summer I have six woodcuts and a pen-and-ink drawing in its "20/20" group show (August 23-September 7). Here is a mini show of the exhibit. Enjoy!

"Smokie was a lovable cat with so much personality. Only about six. Too young to die. She would hear my boyfriend coming down the road and start making cooing noises. She'd jump up on the table until she saw him get out of the car and then jump down, run to meet him, hiding behind the door, while pretending she was there all the time. She'd always be on his lap or sitting by him as he worked on his laptop. My boyfriend is a cat lover (He has four of his own), but he was in love with Smokie. She died unexpectedly and we both are devastated."

PenPets Goes Literary

This month's issue of Wife of Bath features a PenPets portrait on the cover, two more portraits inside, and a tanka poem.

Wife of Bath is one of Maine's newest literary magazines, just three issues old. It's edited and published by Raye Tibbetts of Bath, Maine. This month's theme is "Dog Days," the perfect venue for my work. It's chock full of lots of good doggy stuff.
